Description
A vertical totem of mask-like ovals rises through a smoky graphite field, each face shifting its vocabulary of dots, checks, crescents, and voids as if identity were a sequence of evolving states. The compressed stack and the curling tendril at the crown create a slow, ceremonial ascent, while the restrained monochrome pushes attention onto texture—velvet blacks, powdered greys, and scored erasures that feel like memory being edited in real time. The repeated “eyes” read as apertures rather than features, suggesting watching and being watched, and the faint notations at the margin lend the work the air of an archived dream—personal, coded, and deliberately unfinished.
