Hemant Dhane was born in 1983 in Karad, Maharashtra.
In 2005 he received his degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai. In 2012 he had a solo show at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Mumbai.
Hemant has participated in several group shows:
In 2010 and 2014 he took part in Palpable Energy and Rimzim at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. In 2011 he participated in the India Art Fair at Nehru Centre, Mumbai. In 2012 he participated in the India Art fair at B.K.C. in Mumbai. In 2015 he took part in a group exhibition Silent Windows II at Gallery 7, Kalaghoda in Mumbai. In 2004 he took part in the All India Painting Exhibition at Tilak Smarak Prathisthan, Pune and in Bombay Art Society exhibition at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. In 2004 and 2007 he took part in the Monsoon Show at Bajaj Art Gallery, Mumbai. Hemant has attended many art camps and workshops: In 2008 he attended the International Art Exhibition by Indian Artists Network in Jakarta, Indonesia. In 2009 he attended a charity art workshop for municipal school children under guidance of Akbar Padamsee in Mumbai. In 2011 he participated in an artist camp at Manor, Maharashtra. In 2013 and 2014 he attended a young artists art camp and All India Art Camp at Kamath Govind Resort, Thane.
Hemant has received several awards:
In 2001 he won an award at A. V. S. Art College, Vasai. In 2003 he received an award from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai. In 2007 he received the N. S. Bendre Trophy by Camlin Art Foundation in Baroda. In 2008 he won the Maharastra Govt. State Art Exhibition award at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.
Hemant lives and works in Mumbai.
