Kumar Vikas Saxena

Masters in Painting, Kumar Vikas Saxena was born into a gifted family of artists. He has been painting voraciously and passionately since childhood and has explored many media including watercolors, Tempra, oil paints, Acrylic etc. He loves to play with different matter and materials. His thoughts and emotions inspire him to paint and create. His works area depiction of his relationship with his feelings. He is passionately possessive about his thoughts-assets only he can own. Life and emotions inspire him. In his paintings, he seeks to capture the myriad range of emotions evoked by various circumstances. Govt of China has invited him to represent Indian Art and Culture scenario to Beijing in Year 2017 at Asia –Africa Youth Meet . He has been associated with many International and National Art projects like “Project Cultural Diversity” ( Sri Lanka , Guatemala , Costa Rica and El Salvador ), “Sowing the Seeds of Tranquility” , 2019 with Korea Embassy , . “Shades of Himalaya” in association with Department of Culture Govt of Uttarakhand , “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” in association with India Afghanistan Foundation, Maitri- India-China Women Artists’ Residency in Jaipur in Association with ICCR Govt. of India, Art Freundschaft in Berlin, Germany in association with Embassy of India, Berlin, Shades of Togetherness in association with India Bhutan Foundation, Colors of Harmony in association with India Srilanka Foundation, Cultural Confluence-United Colors –SAARC Nations Young Artist Camp in Association with ICCR Govt. of India, India-German Youth Fest in New Delhi, India in association with German Embassy, New Delhi, Colors of Hope in association with Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India India- Pakistan Artists’ Exhibition cum Residency Program was held in Delhi, Artist Statement My journey into the art world has been a fearless continuum as if a game of hiding and Seek in pursuit to uncover all - the form and the abstract... A journey towards completion of all that which is so incomplete that it seems to be infinite, unbounded! A journey of dreams to bring into being which shapes up when the present gives in to and meets the future… This journey began in childhood in those long, narrow winding lanes which still had something magical and could weave a silky starlit phantasmagoria. Sometimes this journey would seem to begin from the soulful sky kissing peaks of the Himalayas laden with lush green cedars and Pines and small stream happily singing, gushing, gurgling, and rippling by … Nature in its grandeur is sweetly bewitching –has absolute delicate fragility yet at the same time so firm resolute and at times extremely raw… the delicate poise that it exists in, is nothing if not miraculous! …this is what my canvas yearns to achieve. Never would I want to forget this face of nature nor the coexistence of that silky feel of magic. Rather would want to soak in it. Inquisitiveness, in me, fires up lots of ideas, floating on my mental scape, some dive deep but are still don’t vanish…sometimes one rises like a huge wave which crashes to smithereens on the dusty shores. Some other times ideas are so inert that they just want to spread like the golden sunshine on a winter morning … still some other times an idea is so sluggish that wants to hide in the cool shades as if to save itself from the scorching heat of the summer afternoon … I want to embrace all my sensitivities and visions and pour them on my canvas…for all to see
