Sachin Naik
A watercolorist from Pune, who has been creating paintings from last 12 years. Sachin also features his works in many calendars, catalogues and magazine. With his captivating works, he is also promoting an old `Woodcut` art style that is handed down from generations. "There are a few artists in Goa who still use this medium but it requires a lot of effort. Carving the wood, applying ink to it and then getting the print on paper is a laborious task". Thus, he loves experimenting with this medium most of the time. He uses a very distinct style to paint with watercolors and acrylics which generally result into monochrome landscapes. Besides painting, this art enthusiast has also successfully launched a book - Watercolours Simplified - a guide book for watercolor enthusiasts. His landscape paintings depict comforting architectures and picturesque sights which are tempting for him.
