Sangeeta Kodimyala

My works are a result of my collective observations and concerns to the changing times that we are continuously webbed in. Coming from a culture that advocates the absolute and the unity of existence I often question and ponder the concept of singularity in plural forms. I take references from great poets like Kabir Das and Rumi. I compare their philosophies with findings from science and metaphysics. I notice such phenomena in nature and thus create works based on these findings. Rendered with bear hands using organic materials, the mystical forms are allowed to shape in an organic way. These energetic gestural movements reflect the innate interconnectedness and entangled nature of all living beings which stand as a testimony to a future that is singular in nature. I live and work between Vizag, Bangalore, and Hyderabad cities. EDUCATION M.F.A. (Painting) from, University of Hyderabad(Central University) ,Hyderabad, 2022-2023 B.F.A.
