Born: Agartala, Tripura. Santanu got his B.F.A in Painting from Govt. College of Art & Craft, Agartala, Tripura (W) 2004 & M.F.A in Assam University, Silchar 2006.
Santanu has shown his painting in North-East state through group Exhibition’s & also participated 3rd O.N.G.C Ishani Kala Sangam workshop, 2007, National Art Festival 2009 at Gangtok, Sikkim organized by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, North-East Art workshop & Integration-2010s, Silchar. Painting Camp (North Eastern States) in Imphal (Manipur), 2011. His painting also in collection of Rajendra Kirtisala private museum, Agartala, Tripura (w) and in Dhoomimal Art Gallery, New Delhi. He got Lalit Kala Grant of Scholarship for the year 2008-09
