Tushar Patange

Born in 1983, Tushar is committed to live up to the proud art tradition of his family. A trained Fine Arts graduate, Tushar is a freelance artist working with colours in different mediums, acrylic, oil, water etc. To date, he has exhibited his artworks via various art-shows. He has received very encouraging response so far and his work can be found in many private art collections in Goa, Kolhapur, Yellapur, Sangli and overseas. Tushar showed early signs of his talent and won many painting competitions in his school days. Taking basic art lessons from his father Mohan Patange (well-known powder shading artist) and uncle Late Chandrakant Mandare (famous Marthi film actor & fine artist), he developed his interest in water and powder shading mediums. After junior college, Tushar decided to learn the nuances of the fine art and other mediums from Kalavishwa Mahavidyalaya, Sangli. After the graduation, Tushar worked as a Web & Graphics designer in Mumbai for 3 years. Even during those days, he pursued his passion by working as a Sunday artist. But soon, he realized his true calling and returned to his native place Sangli to become a full-time artist. Within couple of years, with a lot of hard work and dedication, he had set up his own studio, done two solo art-shows. Subjects of his paintings are realistic and semi-realistic landscapes, he paints portraits in powder shading. His recent show ‘A Landscape through My Window‘ is held at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.
