Born 1982, lives and practices in Surat,

I Bhavesh Joshi working as Embroidery Designer & Emerging Artist.

I create my artwork from my surrounding like nature, people, atmosphere and light and shades which affects an artistic mind.

Viewers can see many colors, composition, dramatic light, drapery and human figurative subjects in my work. My nature of interest in painting is Still life, portraits, nature scenery and figurative work. I also do live sketches on the spot.

However I have been also inspired by ancient Europian great Artist like Vermeer, Dali, Claude Monet, Goya, Delacroix, and Sermoneta. Great master’s work had so many colours, different compositions, many bunch of people in a single artwork, full with royally dressed drapery and great command over light and shades of millions of color init so it is hard to completely understand their work.

Great master’s work inspire me to recreate their work, which feels me like I am revisiting that time-ere, when there were no digital and latest technology thus they made such great paintings in their time.

Currently working in figurative compositional work in dry medium like color pencil, graphite and charcoal.

Exploring my knowledge in figurative academic work, I started painting people in my artwork. Trying to capture emotions, body languages, light and shades and moreover their drapery in a single artwork that make it look like ancient great masters paintings.

Although under the guidance on Mr. Charanjeet Singh I have learned so many things like composition, drawing a figure with proper measurement and making a perfect dressed ideal drawing. Capturing the essence of ancient painting.
